Jerusalem in the Last Days (UE22)

   'Understanding Endtime'

2 Sam 5:5, 7 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah... Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion (Jerusalem) that is, the City of David.
Since David's conquest of Jerusalem 3 thousand years ago, it had been the capital of the Kingdom of Israel. Though Israel and Jerusalem had been conquered many time for their disobedience, abominations and sins, yet whenever they can form the nation of Israel again, Jerusalem has always been the capital except in 1948.
Jer 9:11, 13  "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a den of jackals. I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant..." And the LORD said, "Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it"

Jerusalem before Rapture
Before Rapture, Jerusalem will soon be conquered by its enemies during the coming World War 3 as God's vengeance for the many abominations committed by Israel.
Luke 21:20, 22, 24 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near...For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled... And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (Rapture)."
Because of the abominations and sins (PLO-Israel Peace Treaty, the giving away of part of the Promised Land for peace and the approval of homosexuality) committed by Israel, the destruction of Jerusalem before Rapture will be God's vengeace for their disobedience.

Jerusalem after Rapture
At the battle of Armegaddon, when all the nations gather to attack Jerusalem, our Lord will deliver Jerusalem and the Israelites by splitting Mount Olive and then annihilate the enemies. (Read also MA22 - Eze 38-39 is not WW3)
Zec 14:4, 12 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south... And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.

Jerusalem in Millennium Rule
Zec 8:3 "Thus says the LORD: 'I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the LORD of hosts, the Holy Mountain.'
After our Lord Jesus had delivered Jerusalem, He will return to Jerusalem (after the Israelites has cleansed the land by burying all the dead bodies and bones) to establish His Millennium Rule.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
