Rapture or First Resurrection
Mat 24:30-31 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
At Rapture only the elect (godly Christians), who choose to keep His commandments and words faithfully and thus are found worthy by our Lord, will be taken back to heaven. At the same time they will be rewarded for their works as His faithful servants.
Mat 16:27-28 "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."
Glorification of the Elect
I Cor 15:51-53 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
At Rapture as the angels harvest the elect from the earth, our Lord will change the immortal human bodies of the elect into incorruptible glorious bodies. God will reward each elect according to his works by rewarding him the type of glorious body, which will signify his role or position in the new heaven and new earth. The most glorious bodies (besides our Lord God Almighty) will be given to the bride of the Lamb and His sons.
I Cor 15:41-42 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in corruption.
Glorifying the name of Jesus
Luke 21:34-36 "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
These elect have overcome the temptations of worldly lusts, heresies and distorted doctrines, deceptions of the Satan and false prophets. On top of that they have glorified the name of Jesus by fulfilling their calling in keeping His words thus pleasing Him in all their works. These are His worthy servants.
2 Thess 1:11-12 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
To be glorified with Jesus
Rom 8:16-18 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.* For I consider that *the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
