1. Father God on His Throne
2. Our Lord Jesus on His Throne
3. Holy Spirit and the bride of the Lamb on the Throne.
I John 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
Note - Bride of the Lamb or sons of God, who with the help of the Holy Spirit of truth have endured all sufferings for His Name sake and whose love for God has been perfected.
Rom 8:16-19 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Before the Throne of God
Rev 22:14,19 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Only those who keep the commandments of Jesus can enter into the New Jerusalem.
Note - when we cannot keep some of His commandments, we must humble ourselves before Him and then He will give us more grace and empower us with His Spirit and truth.
1. Friends - these are His devout, trustworthy and obedient disciples who know God's will and works. (including Abraham and possibly Noah, Daniel, etc.)
John 15:14-15 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
2. Faithful Servants - these are His faithful shepherds who obediently care, nourish and love all those under their jurisdiction. These will include all the kings of the earth who will bring honour to worship God.
On the New Earth
Those saved are outside New Jerusalem.
Rev 21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
These saved are Jews who had followed the Law, devout Gentiles and Christians who are unworthy to enter the New Jerusalem. Christians are warned that whoever takes away any part of His words, he may lose his salvation with his name wiped out from the Book of Life.
Rev 22:19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. I Am Coming Quickly
Lake of Fire
Rev 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
It was predestined that men will not have their names written in the Book of Life for God wants everyone to be saved by their good works. Noah and Abraham too had to obey God's orders and the Jews had to keep the Mosiac Law in order to be saved. Thank God that in Christ Jesus we are saved by His grace and not of works, when we believe the gospel of Jesus.
Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
Rom 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
