The Call and the Chosen (UE59)

  'Understanding Endtime'

2 Tim 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
God is the righteous Judge who decides whether we are worthy of our faith, decision or works at every stage of our walk with Him. From His words and the Epistles, we will be able to understand His expectation and requirements, so we are directly responsible for our future?

Grace in the New Covenant
The New Covenant of grace by the blood of Jesus is given freely to all men. However only those who believe and accept the gospel of Jesus will receive this free gift of salvation. God the righteous Judge can see our hearts and His judgment is based on our commitment to our decision - whether sincere and genuine or falsehood and deception.

1. Salvation
God is calling all men (both Jews and Gentiles) to believe and accept the gospel of His grace of salvation in Christ Jesus.

The Called and Chosen
Mat 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
In every evangelistic meeting, many came forward to receive the Lord. However, from the surveys made, less than 10% are finally churches. These 10% will be those whom God have found to have understood the gospel of Jesus and have believed and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Since God has found them worthy of salvation so He chose them to become born again Christians.
The balance 90% may not have understood the gospel because many came just for healing, financial and emotional helps or inquisitive. However, all those who came forward and had believed on Him will not be put to shame for God will continue to find ways to get them saved.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

The Chosen and Appointed
John 15:16  "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."
Once a person has become a born again Christian, God will appoint (elect) him to bear fruits. This new convert will display the fruits of repentance:-
1. zeal reading the Bible to understand Him more
2. offer helps wherever needed
3. kind and generous
4. avoid sinful places and habits 5. merciful and compassionate

2. Servanthood
Mat 24:45-46 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing."
Every born again Christian wants to serve God since He has now become his Lord and Master. A faithful servant cares for the welfare of fellow brethren but an evil servant is selfish, covetous and is merciless to fellow brethren.
Today we have televangelists, so-called pastors and prophets, robbing His people and God and they are multimillionaires. These rich, selfish and covetous are definitely not God's servant but likely servants of the devil?
Mat 24:48-49 "But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards"

Brethren, because these servants of God joyfully and willingly serve Him in accordance to His words and commandments, God choose them and called them His faithful servants.
But the wicked who serve in churches, mission field, etc. are called evil servants.
