More Grace to Chosen (U60)

John 2:24-25 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.
God knows the wickedness men's hearts and He will not dare to commit judgement to men while they are still on earth.
Gen 6:5-6  Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

Hypocrisy of the Priesthood
Mal 1:6-8  "A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the Lord of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?' You offer defiled food on My altar, But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the Lord is contemptible.' And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favorably?" Says the Lord of hosts.
The servants of God were hypocrites during the days of our Lord Jesus and God had to send John the Baptist to get them to repent before the first advent of our Lord Jesus.
Similarly, before Rapture our Lord will use the coming World War 3 to bring Christians to their knees and they will repent of their covetousness, selfishness, worldliness and hypocrisy.

Mat 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Today, many Christian leaders are like those depraved priesthood- full of pride and hypocrisy. Just because they can perform some miracles in His Name, they think that they are great and powerful and demand respect and honour from brethren.
In the eyes of God, these so-called beloved of God are actually depraved Christians who are hypocrites.

Covenant of More Grace
John 14:15-17a  "If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth"
Many Christians claim that they love Jesus but refuse to keep His commandments. Is this possible? How then can they be set free from bondage with Spirit of truth in them?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
When we keep His words, our Father and our Lord Jesus will dwell within us, thus establishing the Kingdom of God within us. His peace, joy and presence will always be our bliss.
Note - anyone who does not keep His word does not love Him.
John 14:24  He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me."

Brethren, please realise that our future lies in our own hands. When we keep His words (our part of the covenant) then our righteous Judge will keep His part of the covenant by choosing us to be either His faithful servants, friends, sons of God, elect or bride of the Lamb.

The Call and the Chosen (U59)

2 Tim 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
God is the righteous Judge who decides whether we are worthy of our faith, decision or works at every stage of our walk with Him. From His words and the Epistles, we will be able to understand His expectation and requirements, so we are directly responsible for our future?

Grace in the New Covenant
The New Covenant of grace by the blood of Jesus is given freely to all men. However only those who believe and accept the gospel of Jesus will receive this free gift of salvation. God the righteous Judge can see our hearts and His judgment is based on our commitment to our decision - whether sincere and genuine or falsehood and deception.

1. Salvation
God is calling all men (both Jews and Gentiles) to believe and accept the gospel of His grace of salvation in Christ Jesus.

The Called and Chosen
Mat 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
In every evangelistic meeting, many came forward to receive the Lord. However, from the surveys made, less than 10% are finally churches. These 10% will be those whom God have found to have understood the gospel of Jesus and have believed and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Since God has found them worthy of salvation so He chose them to become born again Christians.
The balance 90% may not have understood the gospel because many came just for healing, financial and emotional helps or inquisitive. However, all those who came forward and had believed on Him will not be put to shame for God will continue to find ways to get them saved.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

The Chosen and Appointed
John 15:16  "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."
Once a person has become a born again Christian, God will appoint (elect) him to bear fruits. This new convert will display the fruits of repentance:-
1. zeal reading the Bible to understand Him more
2. offer helps wherever needed
3. kind and generous
4. avoid sinful places and habits 5. merciful and compassionate

2. Servanthood
Mat 24:45-46 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing."
Every born again Christian wants to serve God since He has now become his Lord and Master. A faithful servant cares for the welfare of fellow brethren but an evil servant is selfish, covetous and is merciless to fellow brethren.
Today we have televangelists, so-called pastors and prophets, robbing His people and God and they are multimillionaires. These rich, selfish and covetous are definitely not God's servant but likely servants of the devil?
Mat 24:48-49 "But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards"

Brethren, because these servants of God joyfully and willingly serve Him in accordance to His words and commandments, God choose them and called them His faithful servants.
But the wicked who serve in churches, mission field, etc. are called evil servants.

Left Behind at Rapture (U58)

Earthquake causing Tsunamis
Rev 6:12-14  I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, *there was a great earthquake*; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
The great earthquake worldwide will cause many extremely huge tsunamis and men will hear the roaring of the waves.
Because all men have heard the gospel earlier, so when they see the great earthquake, heavenly blackout, heavenly hosts and the Lord Jesus as stars falling from heaven and also Christians caught up to the Lord, they will fear the coming judgment for their stupidity of rejecting Jesus as the Saviour.
Luke 21:25-27 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

Half of those left behind Killed
Luke 17:34-37 "I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left." And they answered and said to Him, "Where, Lord?" So He said to them, "Wherever the (dead) body is, there the eagles (vultures) will be gathered together."
Half of all those left behind will be killed (food for the vultures) by the great earthquakes and huge tsunamis. All of them will be condemned to eternal damnation for they had accepted the mark of the beast during the period of the great tribulation.
Unfortunately, all those still alive will have to face the 7th Seal, which brings in the wrath of God or the wrath of the Lamb (7 bowls/trumpets)
Note - The 144,000 new Jewish converts will be protected from the wrath of God.
Rev 6:15-17 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

The Wrath of God
Rev 8:1-2, 7 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
This wrath is excruciating and many want death but they will not be able to find it. This is only a preview of the eternal suffering in the Lake of fire.
So let's flee from worldliness, covetousness, selfishness, unforgiveness and merciless towards our brethren.
Rev 9:4-6 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

Elect Caught Up To God (U57)

Brethren, at Rapture (Rev 6:12-17) the elect will be taken back to heaven while the 144,000 devout Jews (Rev 7:1-8) will repent at the sight of the coming of our Lord Jesus, the One they pierced.
Below will be the scene in heaven of the elect (resurrected saints) in front of the throne of the Lord God Almighty.

Rev 7:9,13-14 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands... Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
The great tribulation will start when the Antichrist (Satan's incarnate) on the mercy seat in the newly built temple of God by the Jewish Priesthood will declared himself God. All Priesthood, leaders of Christianity and other religions and all those misled Christians, Jews and other will immediately bow down to him. With many lying wonders mankind will be held in awe.
But the elect with truth and the knowledge and understanding of end time signs, will reject and expose him as the Antichrist and Satan.
We thank God that He will use the great Tribulation to refine the elect and wash their robe white with the blood of the Lamb.
2 The 2:9-10  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Rev 7:15  "Therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
These elect will always be before the throne of God to serve Him for God will dwell amongst them as the loving Father. At Rapture, the sons of God, who will share the throne of our Lord Jesus will also be revealed.
Romans 8:16-19 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Rev 19:6-7 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
These elect, who love the Lord by keeping His commandments and words, will be empowered with truth and understanding of endtime prophecies. They will overcome the great tribulation and the deceptions and wiles of Satan. They will finally become the bride of the Lamb in the new heaven and new earth.
Jude 1:20-25  Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Events leading to Rapture (U56)

Great Heavenly Blackout
Rev 6:12-13 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
The fifth seal is the period of great tribulation for Christians where they were persecuted and many martyred. So immediately after the great tribulation, there will be a great earthquake worldwide, when everyone will be forced to flee from their buildings into the open.
Our Lord Jesus will then cover the earth from the solar system and the universe. When the moon cannot receive any light from the sun, it will immediately turn blood red and then black and this will be seen by all.
As the whole sky becomes completely black, many tiny lights appeared in heaven. As they grow bigger they look like stars, which seem to fall to earth as figs falling from the trees.
Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken."

Sign of the Son of Man
Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
As the stars become bigger and bigger we can make out that they are actually the heavenly host of angels descending from heaven in glory. At the same time, there will be the sounding of trumpets in the heavens that can be heard everywhere on earth.
As these stars become bigger and bigger, the trumpets sound gets louder and louder. Then all eyes will see our Lord Jesus Christ coming in the clouds in power and great glory.
At the sounding of the last trumpet, the dead in Christ will be raised in their new incorruptible  bodies to meet the Lord in the cloud.
I Cor 15:51-53  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Rapture of Overcoming Christians
Mat 24:31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
At the sounding of the last trumpet (no connection with the seven trumpets in Rev 8) and the loud shout of the Archangel, the dead in Christ will rise first follow by His elect (overcomers), to meet the Lord in the cloud and be with Him forever.
1Thess 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And *the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them* in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Tit 2:11-13 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

Missing Tribes of Israel? (U55)

Rev 7:3-8 saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads." And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
This event will happen at Rapture when the Holy Spirit and the elect will be taken back to heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ. So without the Holy Spirit, the 144,000 new Israeli converts must be sealed by God to prevent them from the coming wrath of God upon all those rebellious and wicked unbelievers left behind.
Rom 11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Fables of Missing Tribe of Dan
2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
Because the tribe of Dan is missing from the twelve tribes in the above scriptures, so opportunists and covetous Christian leaders created stories and fables concerning the rejection of Dan by God. Some even claimed that the whole tribe of Dan had apostates to Islam. Their books of lies and fables are popular, just like the fables of illuminati and the conspiracy theories.

Fables of Missing Ephraim
When the unlearned finds the tribe of Ephraim was missing in Rev 7:3-8 (above), they taught that Christians will be the missing tribe of Ephraim if they practice some rites of Judaism, which is a curse and heresy.
Note - the tribe of Joseph includes both tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh.

Rev 14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
These 144,000 converts are disciples of Jesus during His Millennium Reign (Eze 40-48). The tribe of Dan will inherit the place next to Asher. All 12 main tribes of Israel will be with Him in Eze 48.
Eze 48:1-2 "Now these are the names of the tribes... there shall be one section for Dan from its east to its west side; by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west, one section for Asher;
Eze 48:30, 32 "These are the exits of the city... On the north side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Joseph*, one gate for Benjamin, and *one gate for Dan;"

Conclusion - the mistake is in the copying of the tribe of Dan as the tribe of Manasseh in Rev 7:6, which brings truth and harmony in the whole counsel of God. This is rightly dividing the word of God.

Tribes and Inheritance (U54)

Twelve Main Tribes of Israel
Gen 49:28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them. And he blessed them; he blessed each one according to his own blessing.
The twelve main Tribes of Israel are the descendents from the twelve sons of Israel (Jacob) as follows:-
1. Reuben - Gen 49:3
2. Simone - Gen 49:5
3. Levi - Gen 49:5
4. Judah - Gen 49:8
5. Zebulun - Gen 49:13
6. Issachar - Gen 49:14
7. Dan - Gen 49:16
8. Gad - Gen 49:19
9. Asher - Gen 49:20
10. Naphtali - Gen 49:21
11. Joseph - Gen 49:22
12. Benjamin - Gen 49:27
Exo 39:14 There were twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes.

Exo 32:26 then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, "Whoever is on the Lord's side—come to me!" And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
Because the Levites chose to be on God's side, God chose them to serve only Him in the tabernacle. Since God was the inheritance of the Levites, they were not allowed to any earthly inheritance.
Num 18:20-21 Then the Lord said to Aaron: " *You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel*. Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting."

Inheritances in Canaan Land
Eze 47:13 Thus says the Lord God: "These are the borders by which you shall divide the land as an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph shall have two portions"
Since the Levites could not have any earthly inheritance, the Promised Canaan land (besides those set aside for God's temple, etc.) would be given to the rest of the eleven tribes.
Jacob gave the birthright (normally reserved for the eldest son) to Joseph who inherited double portion. So the inheritance will again be given to twelve tribes - eleven main Tribes with the tribe of Joseph splitting into two subtribes of Manasseh and Ephraim.

The Armies of Israel
Num 1:1-4 Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying: "Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, every male individually, from twenty years old and above —all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies."
The armies of Israel comprised of ten main tribes plus the two subtribes of Manasseh and Ephraim. The Levites were exempted from military service for they had no earthly inheritance and they served only in the tabernacle of God.
Num 1:47-49 But the Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers' tribe; for the Lord had spoken to Moses, saying: "Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor take a census of them among the children of Israel"

Truth of Twelve Tribes of Israel
So whenever the tribe of Levite is included in the twelve tribes of Israel, then the tribe of Joseph is also mentioned, for these are all the descendents of the twelve sons of Jacob.
For inheritance, the tribe of Levite will be missing from the twelve tribes and the tribe of Joseph will be replaced by its subtribes of Ephraim and Manasseh.

Interesting Truth in Parables (U53)

Wicked Vinedresser
Mat 21:33,35,38-39 "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country... And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another... But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.
The Israelites were chosen (leased of vineyard) as God's people to receive His protections and blessings. They were expected to be fruitful (faith in God) but unfortunately they tend to be stiff-necked and rebellious. God constantly sent prophets (servants) to guide them back to repentance but they killed all His prophets. Finally, God sent His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus, who displayed His divinity by His birth, OT prophecies, signs and wonders, His truth and grace. Yet they killed Him knowing full well that He was their Messiah, the Son of God because they feared the Romans more than God.
John 11:47-48 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation."

End of Salvation of the Jews
Mat 21:40-43 "Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?" They said to Him, "He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons." Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes'? "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it."
God is just and righteous and He is faithful to His words. So He had t made the Old Covenant obsolete (kingdom of God taken away from the Jews), thus condemning all Jews to damnation.
However, His love and mercies endure forever, and immediately with the blood of Jesus, He made the New Covenant of grace with all mankind. Thousands of Jews were saved as Christians before the gospel of Jesus reached the Gentiles.

Only the devout Jews were Saved
John 5:46-47 "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"
It is clear that only devout or godly Jews will believe in Jesus and be saved. So John the Baptist was sent to preach repentance for the kingdom of heaven is near. After the death of John, our Lord Jesus sent His disciples out to preach repentance and the kingdom message too so that repented Jews would also believe Jesus and be saved.
Luke 16:29-31 Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"

Brethren, to know truth and be able to rightly divide His words, we need to understand the whole counsel of God in the whole Bible. Don't try the 'hit and run' as practised by heretics, televangelists, false prophets and covetous pastors.

Truth in Some of the Parables (U52)

Mat 13:34-35 All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world."
Within the parables are the secrets of God concerning the kingdom of heaven.

Parable of the Sower
By the Wayside
Mat 13:18-19  "Therefore hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside."
All those by the wayside are those involved in worldly affairs and are busy pursuing their dreams of successes, riches or recognition. They don't have time for the gospel.

Stony Places
Mat 13:20-21 "But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles."
These are the ones with lots of problems - financial, health, business or family. With the proper presentation of the gospel, they will grab at His love and grace for they have just found the real Almighty Father. Please do not expose these new converts to be persecuted by family members and friends.

Strangled by Thorn
Mat 13:22 "Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful."
Unfortunately, many Christians after their salvation still love the world.

Perfect Ground
Mat 13:23 "But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."
These are His disciples who follow Him. They want to please Him at all cost - by keeping His commandments and words.
2 Cor 5:9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

Parable of Hidden Treasures
Mat 13:44 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."
These Christians gave up all when they can get His hidden treasures.
What are these treasures?
1. Spirit of Truth teaches all truth, understanding of His words, end time signs, etc.
2. Free from worldliness, bondages, etc.
3. Fruit of the Holy Spirit
4. Empowering of the Holy Spirit to overcome temptation, persecution, etc.
5. Joy and Peace of His presence
6. Counted worthy to be His bride.
2 Cor 4:6-7 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

Parable of the Pricey Pearl
Mat 13:45-46 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it."
When Christians can find the entrance (each pearl is a gate) into New Jerusalem (Kingdom of heaven), they will give up everything to be able to enter in.
Rev 21:21a The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl.

Mysteries in the Parables (U51)

Kingdom of Heaven in Parables
Mat 13:10-11,13 And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?" He answered and said to them, "Because *it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven*, but to them it has not been given... Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand."
It is God's will that all Jesus' disciples must understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven hidden in the parables.

Mark 4:33-34 And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it. But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.
It looks like that our Lord Jesus can only enlightening us to a better understanding of the kingdom of heaven by using parables.

Mat 21:45 Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them.  (Read Mat 21:33-46)
Our Lord Jesus ensured that all hearers understand their mistakes and sins, though they may not understand the hidden mysteries. Similarly, whenever we read the bible, and if His words, teachings or parables convict us, thank God that He is leading us into His truth once we repent.

John 6:66-67 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"
Thousands followed Jesus for they saw His many miracles (thousands fed, blind could see, dead resurrected, walking on water, etc.). But when His teachings were difficult to accept, many of His disciples left Him except for the few faithful disciples.
John 6:68-69 But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and Know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

John 16:25-27 "These things I have spoken to you in figurative language (teachings, parables, words, etc.); but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God."
This is the prophecy that when we keep His commandments, He will give us the Helper, who will teach us all things.
John 14:15-16, 26  "If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—... But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

John 16:29 His disciples said to Him, "See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech! Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God. "
Finally, our Lord found that His disciples who loved Him, understood some of the mysteries hidden in His parables. It was music to His ears.
His subsequent sufferings and crucifixion were pure joy for He had accomplished His most difficult task of transforming His disciples.
Brethren, what great joy it will bring to God, when we too can understanding the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven in His parables.

Paul Revealed His Flesh (U50)

Act 15:23-24  They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings. Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law" —to whom we gave no such commandment—"
The Holy Spirit guided the Council in Jerusalem to establish the most important doctrine concerning the Old Covenant, which was prophesied to be replaced by the New Covenant of grace. So Gentile converts (Christians) must not be partakers of any of the law including feasts, sacrifices, worships, traditions, offerings etc.
Paul was one of those sent to inform the churches to distance themselves from the law of the Old Covenant. In Antioch, they stayed on to encourage and teach both Jewish and Gentile converts the doctrines of the Apostles
Acts 15:25-30 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. So when they were sent off, they came to Antioch; and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.

Paul disputed with Barnabas
Act 15:36-37 Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing." Now Barnabas was determined to take with them John called Mark.
After a while, Paul decided to visit the new churches to encourage the new brethren there. The dispute of Mark led Paul and Barnabas to split.
Acts 15:38-40 But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God.

Hypocrisy of Paul
Acts 16:1, 3-4  Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek... Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek. And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem.
They were sent to inform churches that Gentiles need not observe the law after their conversion, yet Paul took Timothy to get him circumcised - this is hypocrisy and rebellion.
This clearly showed that Paul was still unaware that the gospel of grace was for both Jews and Gentiles alike. The Jewish converts were still stuck to the law and Jewish traditions, for they still kept themselves away from other Christians.

Phi 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

Beware of the Mutilation (U49)

Act 15:1-2 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.
Paul after His miraculous conversion and the direct teaching and revelation from God while in Arabia realised that the Old Covenant was made obsolete by the New Covenant of grace, which was given to both Jews and Gentiles. The Gentile converts were enjoying the grace of God - without any law except for their repentance from idolatry and wickedness and their obedience to the teachings of Jesus.
But those so-called godly converts from Jews and Pharisees, were trying to impose Mosiac Law upon Christians, which Paul and Barnabas strongly opposed this heresy.
Act 15:5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."

Doctrines of the Apostles
Act 15:28-29 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.
The council of Elders in Jerusalem under the guidance of the Holy Spirit confirmed that all Christians are to observe the doctrines of the apostles (teaching and commandments of Jesus) with the addition of the instructions given by God since the days of Noah. No Christian is allowed to observe the law which was made obsolete by the blood of Jesus in the New Covenant.

Evil Workers and Mutilation
Phi 3:2-3 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Paul realised that from within the church, many church leaders would become wolves introducing all types of heresies. Judaism (mutilation of the flesh) would be one of them to send Christians to damnation.
Act 20:29-31 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Synagogues of Satan
Rev 2:8-9 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, 'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."
When God condemned this church (gathering of Christians) to be the synagogue of Satan, then the worships in this church are abominable to Him. Christians must worship God in Spirit and in truth (in the presence of our Lord Jesus), so this church must be like synagogues, which practise some sort of Judaism or Jewish cultures, sacrifices and feasts, which are cursed and are abominations to the Lord.
Since our Lord Jesus had fulfilled all Jewish sacrifices, feasts, Sabbaths, law, etc. He cannot be present whenever the church practises any part of the Law or Judaism - the sign of unbelief of His fulfillments.

Things to Abstain From (U48)

Discipling by the Apostles
Mat 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
The disciples of Jesus went out to preach the gospel of grace to both Jews and Gentiles, baptised all those who believed and then discipled them by teaching them to keep all His commandments or the apostle's doctrines.
Act 2:41-42 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Doctrines of the Apostles
Act 15:24, 27-29 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law" —to whom we gave no such commandment—...
All Christians must follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus only, and they must not observe the law in the Old Covenant, which was made obsolete by the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross.
However,  they must continue to observe the followings:-
1. abstain from things offered to idols
The Gentile converts had given up idolatry upon their salvation, and they were reminded not to eat food offered to idol in temples along with idolaters.
2. from blood,
3. from things strangled
Gen 9:3-4 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
After the flood, God had given all animal as food for man except that we must not eat blood nor meat with blood not drained out such as those animals strangled to death.
Note - Pork and other unclean food were forbidden only under the Old Covenant but they are clean for Christians under grace.
4. from sexual immorality
Mat 19:5-8 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?" He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so."
God joined Adam and Eve together in marriage, and forbid anything to separate any married couple - so no divorce, adultery nor sexual immorality.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."
Any Christian keeping any part of the Law is under the curse or damnation. I thank God that the word of God is perfect for the things (4 items above) that Christians are to abstain from, were instructions given since the time of Noah and not under Mosiac Law.

Second Remnant of Jews (U47)

Isa 11:10-11 "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious." It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left...
The crucifixion of our Lord Jesus obsoleted the Old Covenant, thus sending all Jews to damnation. As prophesied, only a remnant would be saved. So at Pentecost out of God's grace, the Holy Spirit (New Spirit) was poured upon all the devout Jews for they spoke in tongues. 3,000 Jews accepted the Lord and were baptized. These were discipled and with the change of heart (new heart) they preached the gospel of grace to other Jews.
Eze 18:30-31 "Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways," says the Lord God. "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

Acts 11:19-21, 25 Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord...Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul.
After the death of Stephen, the disciples dispersed throughout the middle East and led many devout Jews to the Lord.  Synagogues were filled with Christians and this was the fulfillment of Jewish remnant being saved in many countries. Gentiles (possibly outside) were allowed to listen to messages shared in synagogues. By then many Gentiles were already saved.
Acts 13:42-43 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, *many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas*, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Acts 13:44-46 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. But *when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul*. Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, "It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles."
By then almost all the devout Jews were already saved. The leftover unrighteous Jews opposed the gospel and persecuted Paul and Barnabas. So Paul and Barnabas turned to the Gentiles, who were hardly touched.

Acts 14:1 Now it happened in Iconium that they went together to the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed.
Since then Paul and Barnabas preached to both Jews and Gentiles in New fields where many were saved.

Acts 14:23 So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
The intellect Paul with God's wisdom and knowledge was able to set up the church governance by appointing elders in each church.

The Remnants of Israel (U46)

3 times God will call the remnant to rebuild the Temple of God

1st. Remnant to rebuild Temple
Ezra 9:8-10 And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem. And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken. Your commandments
When God took the Israelites out of Egypt, His covenant with them as His people was that He would dwell among them. They must keep all the feasts with sacrifices before the temple of God and observe all His law. Because of their disobedience, God allowed the temple to be destroyed and His people to be scattered.
During their captivity in Babylon, God sent the Jews back to rebuild the temple of God in Jerusalem led by Ezra and the devout remnant.

2nd Remnant with Temple
Isa 1:9,12-14 Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah... "When you come to appear before Me, who has required this from your hand, to trample My courts? Bring no more futile sacrifices; incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.
At the death of our Lord Jesus, God left the defiled temple of God, thereby making the Old Covenant and Judaism obsolete, thus abolishing all sacrifices, Sabbath, feasts and the law, and condemning all Jews and Israelites to damnation (spiritual death) .
Immediately after the resurrection of our Lord (Root of Jesse) He gave all His disciples (remnant) the Holy Spirit thereby establishing the temple of God and the New Covenant with His blood.
At Pentecost, 3,000 Jews and later all the devout Jews in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the middle East and also Cyprus and Crete (Islands of the sea) were saved. All these Jewish converts were the 2nd remnant of Israelites whose physical bodies were the temple of God.
The grace of God was also extended to Gentiles in Christ Jesus. Apostle Peter was the first to reach the Gentiles (Roman Centurion and family) and later to others. (Please read the book of Acts)
Isa 11:10-11 "And in that day there shall be *a Root of Jesse*, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious." It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea.

3rd Remnant in His 1,000 Rule
Jer 23:3-4 "But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking," says the Lord.
This will be after Rapture when 144,000 Israelites will be saved for Jesus Millennium Rule.

Salvation from Jerusalem (U45)

New Jewish Converts Discipled
Act 2:41-42 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
At Pentecost, when Peter preached the gospel of grace, 3,000 devout Jews in Jerusalem were saved. Many of those saved were from Judea and also from foreign land. Immediately, they were discipled by the Apostles and they also partook the holy communion. By the time they left Jerusalem, these new converts were able to preach the message of the cross, conduct baptism and even teach some of our Lord's teachings. When these new Christians went back in their foster countries, they would be able to evangelize the Jews in their synagogues. Meanwhile in Jerusalem, the apostles continued to displayed the mighty power of God that the shadow of Peter could heal the sick.

Salvation reached Samaria
Act 8:1,5,14 Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them
After the death of Stephen (Saul was still a youth) the disciples dispersed from Jerusalem with Philip going to Samaria. The Jews there were ready to be saved. Peter and John went there to disciple these new converts.
Many years later when Saul had the power to lead in persecuting Christians, more disciples left Jerusalem. Thank God that Saul was converted and after that Christians could live in peace.
Acts 9:31 Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.

Distant Places herald Gospel
Act 11:19-21 Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
Some disciples went to distant land and many devout Jews there were converted.

Act 11:25-26 Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
Barnabas and Paul discipled the Christians in Antioch for a year and after that both of them were sent to distant land. God had already prepared all these places (using those converted during each feast) to preach in those synagogues and with signs and wonders, the Apostles captivated the people wherever they went.
Act 13:42-44 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Apostles Learning Process (U44)

Act 11:1-3 Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, saying, "You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!"
Just before our Lord Jesus went back to heaven, He commissioned all His disciples to made disciples of all nations including Gentiles. But when Peter reached the Gentiles, these disciples forgot the commission of our Lord and instead confronted Peter for the salvation of Gentiles.

Gentiles' Salvation by God's grace
Act 11:15-17 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?"
The distinct physical evidence a Christian is the manifestation of the gift of tongue of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. So God used the gift of tongue to confirm their salvation. The moment the rest of the Apostles and elders in Jerusalem heard that the Gentiles were given the gift of tongue,  they were convinced.
Act 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."

Reluctance to reach Gentiles
Acts 11:19-21 Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
Though the disciples led many Hellenists (Greek speaking Jews) to the Lord, yet they will not touch the Gentiles who were also Greek speaking. When Barnabas saw the multitudes of new converts, he went to get Paul's help to disciple them.
Act 11:25-26 Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Persecutions by King Herod
Acts 12:1-3 Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread.
The martyrdom of Stephen by the Jewish leadership did not scatter the Apostles, who preferred the comfort and respect in Jerusalem. Their job then was mainly to disciple the few converts in Jerusalem and also to evangelise devout Jews coming back to Jerusalem to worship in the temple of God during the feasts.
Note - God left the temple of God at the death of Jesus on the cross and since then every physical body of born again Christians is the temple of God.
Revival were everywhere - in Judea, Samaria and neighbouring countries and yet these Apostles were still staying put in Jerusalem.
The martyrdom of Apostle James and the persecutions of Apostles and church leaders in Jerusalem scattered them so that they could disciple the multitudes of new converts.
